Free COVID Home Test Kits

You can now order free, at-home COVID test kits. These test kits are available using this link: https://special.usps.com/testkits

A few tips:

1) I believe the tests should be sent out in 7-12 days, not weeks. (See https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/01/14/fact-sheet-the-biden-administration-to-begin-distributing-at-home-rapid-covid-19-tests-to-americans-for-free/)
2) People who live in a multi-unit building might get a message that tests have already been ordered for their address because someone in another unit has ordered tests. In some cases this can be fixed by putting your apartment number in the street address box (highlighted below) instead of in the Apt/Suite/Other box. So, eg, writing “123 Main Street, Apt 2” in the street address box. (This worked for me when I was helping a relative order their tests.) I have also heard that you can enter your full 9-digit ZIP instead of your 5-digit ZIP and this may help. (You can find that here: https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm?byaddress)
