The Missituk PTO fundraises each year for the subsequent academic year. Our fundraising goals reflect our previous year’s fundraising successes, goals for student and teacher support, and external circumstances such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
The details of our 2020-2021 budget are outlined below. The 2019-2020 year was a very successful fundraising year, including important contributions from citywide fundraisers (e.g. Jingle Bell run, Disney raffle). We originally anticipated a more normal school year with extensive in-house enrichment, but that is likely to very different. Our current budget is conservative, and we anticipate rolling a large proportion of the discretionary component into the 2021-2022 academic year given that this is likely to be a more challenging fundraising cycle.
